The men's-specific ergonomic shape, orthopedic foam padding, and a flatter overall profile provide ample room to move with serious all-day comfort. The rearward-positioned comfort relief channel is designed specifically for men to eliminate pressure, numbness, and pain in the perineal and genital areas.

Compared to female anatomy, the male pelvis is less flexible, meaning male riders sit more upright on the saddle and put more strain on their sit bones. This allows the transition zone between the saddle's fore and aft to be narrower (Y-shape), creating more pedaling room. Additionally, the male's pubic blades stand at a much steeper angle, and the pelvic symphysis sits notably higher.

With men, numbness when biking most often occurs due to high pressure in the sensitive perineal area. The external genitals are usually not the cause for discomfort because they can yield and are generally not compressed by bone structures. The task with male-specific saddles is to keep pressure off the perineal area and transfer the loads to the sit bones and parts of the pubic arch, which is exactly what the relief surface of the new Ergon Men's saddles is designed to do.

The Ergon SM Sport Men's MTB Saddle features a nylon composite shell with TiNox seat rails, a microfiber seat cover with orthopedic comfort foam and OrthoCell pads, and a 220 lb rider weight limit.
